Pressure-Treated Deck Projects

Customer requested (2) new pressure-treated decks to provide entry to their new mobile home that needed to be completed prior to occupancy permit being approved.

They requested a small deck at the front door and a larger deck at the rear entrance. Footers needed to be poured at the back and a concrete pad was poured to provide a landing for the stairs, in addtion to building the decks themselves.

This was a fairly tight turn around as they only had 2 weeks to complete the work before being able to move in.

Door Replacement Project

Here is a replaced an entry door that I completed for a customer. Original door sill had no waterproofing membrane so one was added during replacement as well as a new, no-maintenance vinyl kickplate in place of a dented up aluminum coil stock kickplate.

Original door was dented, gap around door was inconsistent, and the door did not seal properly.

Patio Project

Here is a paver patio for a customer. The back yard was muddy and undeveloped. Dug down 8-10 inches, filled with 4-6 inches with course limestone, then plate compacted, 2-3 inches with cracker dust limestone then plate compacted, 1 inch of sand, screeded, then laid large pavers, then used polymeric sand to "grout" the pavers, compacted, then activated with water. The finished product turned out very nice.

Vinyl Plank Flooring

I recently replaced flooring in a customer's home by updating the floor from vinyl sheet flooring to new vinyl plank flooring in three bathrooms and kitchen area with underlayment.

Custom Bookcase

Here is a custom built-in bookcase that I was able to do for a customer. The space was underutilized and was a unique size that could not have housed standard kit bookcases. Wainscoting was used as a custom wall covering behind the shelves and pre-primed lumber was used for the case and shelves

Adirondack Chairs

Here are some custom Adirondack chairs that I built for a customer. Without any patterns to work from to build, I had to design my own plan for the look and style of the chair. Working from photographs online, I was able to reverse-engineer a set of plans to build the chairs.

I now have a set of patterns which can easily be re-produced to build more chairs if requested.

One of Many Painting Projects

Here is one of many painting projects completed for numerous customers. I have 30+ years of painting experience and often take these projects on in winter and when other work is slow. I typically use Sherwin-Williams lines of paints but can use whatever the customer prefers. I began painting during my college years during summer, winter, and spring breaks.

Deck and Porch Project

Here is a custom built deck and porch project that I was able to complete. The project took several weeks from beginning to completion including design, planning, and build.

While this project was slightly bigger than I typically handle since I work by myself, the final result was worth the effort.

PVC Coated Aluminum Window Trim Wrap

Here are some badly weather damaged window casings that had been neglected. Window casings were repaired as needed and wrapped with PVC coated aluminum coil stock to provide a maintenance-free solution for many years to come.

More Laminated Vinyl Plank Flooring (LVP)

Another Laminated Vinyl Plank Flooring project. This customer chose 12mm TimberCraft + WetProtect Antique Barnwood by Pergo which was laid over Pergo Gold underlayment 3mm for a solid feeling floor with sound dampening and reduced echo in the room.

Custom Window Trim

Repair and replacement of trim around two windows where a picture window was removed years ago. Existing pine lumber trim was in bad shape and allowing water and insect intrusion. Area was stripped down to studs, insulated, sealed off, house-wrapped, and newly designed/created PVC rot-proof lumber was used to protect and beautify window casement. Customer was looking for a budget-friendly repair without complete tear-out, so this fit the bill!
